Sugar and spice and everything nice

that's what our little GIRL is made of!!!

little me @ 9 months

We found out this morning and have been beaming all day long!
I thought it was a girl but to have my suspicions confirmed makes me happy.
The first thought A had after the nurse told us it was a girl was,
"Now how am I going to fend off her boyfriends?" He's preparing early, smart man.

This weekend is going to be wonderful!!!
Conference is upon us!
                  Come listen to living prophets

happy conference weekend!

jet setting

This week has been the longest week of my life!!! We find out the sex of the babe on Friday and I'm dying here! Friday cannot come soon enough if you ask me.

In random news it was my sweet Gma's 91st bday yesterday. Happy Birthday Grandma, we love you sooo much! I called her and we chatted about the baby mostly. She wants me to have a girl too.

The rest of this is a catch up post. Ready, set, go...

Because I am a great wife I took off for Maui for 2 weeks and left my sweet husband and our walrus to fend for themselves. I  soaked up lots of rays and ate anything that I felt like eating. I also told my Maui fam about the baby! They were ecstatic to say the least. The baby is already a Maui bum, I can tell.

 Next was NYC...

How have I gone my entire 25 and three quarter years without being to NYC?!?! It was a masterpiece. The entire trip was a dream and I didn't want to come home. We went w/A's family and they were sweet enough to do all of the touristy things with me. Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 9/11 memorial, Wall Street, Central Park, Times Square, Broadway shows, museums, take me back, I beg you!

A and I arrived at our Times Square hotel and I immediately nailed a biker with the taxi door. If that doesn't make you feel like a small town chicken I don't know what will. Don't worry the biker wasn't injured. The driver even said in his Indian accent, "It wasn't a bad hit." which I hopefully interpreted as, "Don't feel too much like a fool, that happens a lot to you small town folk."

Now let's talk about the food for 2 seconds. It was AMAZING.INCREDIBLE.OUTOFTHISWORLD.DECADENT.RICH.
food. And it was at every restaurant we went to. We didn't have one bad meal.
Excuse me while I clean up my drool.

Oh and remember how A and I showed up at the airport sans camera. This was our conversation...
"Hey did you grab a camera?"
"No. I didn't really think about it. Did you?"
"Oops, oh well."
Luckily Abby brought one but we made do with our phones for the most part. So there will probably be better NYC photos to come but these will do for now.

Part of the food chain

When I was in elementary school about once a month the entire student body of Scera Park Elementary would gather in the lunchroom/gym and sing. One of our songs was a stirring little number about ecology. I loved this one because well, it was a rap. Even back then I had a little swag in me. I taught this rap to my dear husband and every once in a while we'll bust it out. It was busted out on the way to church yesterday. I hope our kids have sing-in's. You Scera Park people know what I'm talking about...anyone else?

oh Scera Park, you were good to me
to hear a sample of my first encounter with rap music go here
(there's a button that says "play all samples" towards the bottom)

On a different note, I have found the best face cleanser and cream ever!!! I do not normally endorse products on here or anywhere really because like my opinion matters anyway but I found this stuff and I want to shout it from the rooftops! After 10+ years of dermatologists and expensive creams that were supposed to make my face glow to no avail and after being told for years that I have oily to acne prone skin, after harsh chemicals to herbal remedies, all I need to do was walk into Sephora, tell the saleslady a little bit about my skin and voila! She sold me this and my skin is magically better. Not perfect, but so much better. Apparently I have very sensitive skin so I need something very sensitive (imagine that). The line is called First Aid Beauty and there are no fillers or parabens or any of that stuff. And for $18 each, what isn't there to love?

websites for: face cleanser & face cream

I bought the little travel pack first to see if it would work at all and it came with the lip repair and shaving cream too but I don't think that there is anything special about either of those. Needless to say I am a happy camper and returned about $200 in face creams to Nordstrom.

here's another song we'd sing at our sing-in's during Halloween time. Whitney knows this one really well.

it's a...

The babe was being slightly uncooperative at the doctor's office today. We have to wait until March 30th to do the 3D ultrasound to find out the gender. It's okay, I won't explode with anticipation or anything.

But the experience was amazing. I've never felt anything quite like it. I couldn't stop smiling and staring at the monitor. I don't think I heard a word the doctor said until he turned the screen off. We wanted to know the gender and could have if our little one wasn't so modest and kept those little legs together. He/she was moving around quite a bit but the umbilical cord was in the way at the most crucial moment.
It just wasn't meant to be.

baby Webb

Yes my peeps, I am pregnant! I think most of you know it already and are probably already sick of me constantly talking about it but I'm kind of excited. I go to the doc's office next week and hopefully get to find out the gender. I really want a girl (is that so bad to say?) but I did see a little boy playing on the beach the other day and it made me want a boy. Obviously I'm just excited for whatever but right now I am slightly partial.

either way they will be blonde haired, blue eyed little rascals. I mean seriously, how cute!!!
p.s. these are not photos of A and myself, we weren't nearly that cute.

I am 15 weeks and as of now due on my birthday (August 22). Happy birthday to me! I've had a pretty easy go at it so far. Little nausea, little fatigue, very little patience, aversion to eggs and an increase of saltine crackers into my diet. But don't get too jealous because there has been a whole lot of pregnancy crazy going on at the Webb household. I feel like I'm 13 again and between the acne and the mood swings I can't tell you which way is up. Someone needs to help my poor husband. On the way home from church a few weeks ago I started crying over nothing and didn't stop. The tears, the ugly cry face, the snot, the HORROR! It was bad. Now imagine that just about every other day and you will be inclined to nominate my husband for sainthood. Oh how I love that man.

I'm excited. A is excited. The fams are excited. We are also moving in 8 weeks and can't be more excited to be around our families when this all goes down. We're going to be living at the ranch for the summer and I keep telling A that he's going to find me everyday naked (well, not naked...probably), belly up, floating in the pond.

this will be me. just imagine a lot of moss, swans, fish and probably a muskrat or two.
Who wants to go for a dip?
