36 weeks day 3

So close to the end I can almost taste it!

How far along?  36 weeks, day 4
Total weight gain: 21.5 lbs
Maternity clothes? some, mostly just skirts and dresses. so much more comfortable in this heat
Stretch marks? no and let's keep it that way
Sleep: I had my doctor prescribe some heartburn meds for me and last night I slept the ENTIRE night with no heartburn!!! It was a Christmas miracle!
Best moment this week: watching A give his first training

Miss Anything? not having to grunt whenever I move. let me get into my car..."ugh!" getting out of bed in the morning..."humph!" it's cute, real cute.
Movement: lots of feet, elbows, and hands pushing against my belly, she needs more room!
Food cravings: oreos with chocolate filling and s'mores (see previous post)
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope, just the thought of being responsible for another human life for 18 years. am I old/mature/sane enough to do this?! *deep breath*
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: I had one little tiny contraction after cleaning the house last week. well, I'm pretty sure it was a contraction. could have just been gas :)
Symptoms: fatigue and the urge to watch smut tv shows on hulu
Belly Button in or out? out
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy but my patience level is not something to test
Looking forward to: Sun Valley next week, baby shower on Monday and just getting ready for this girl to come

there were a few choice words said while setting this baby up but A plowed through it and I am so grateful! The crib is a Graco and the bumper, sheet and skirt are from Pottery Barn. The pink quilt was given to me by my Aunt Valerie (love you!) and was made by my great grandmother on my mom's side. It's all hand stitched and my favorite part of the whole thing! I'm going to have it embroidered with the babe's name and birthday after she's born.

She's coming so soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are kind of freaking out, but in a good way.

yer killin' me Smalls

Yesterday I imported some photos from A's phone to my computer and ran across these...

I can't believe I'm saying this but I truly, madly, deeply miss the Cleve (aka Captain Tony's) right now.
I'm going to open a Captain Tony's in Utah, it's settled.

Next on the agenda:
Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!
He hates it when he get attention for his bday but I just can't help it. It was last Friday and what did we do for his bday? He did his first training for his company in the morning and it went so well, I am such a proud wife, and then we went home and did nothing. Seriously, we did absolutely nothing for 2 days and it was marvelous! We sat around and watched tv, ate out, took naps, absolutely marvelous I tell you! Happy birthday my love, kiss your face!

Here are some straggler photos from our Green River and Montana fishing trips from A's phone.

The Madison in Montana

this one is from the Green and it just makes me laugh
                                 smile!                                                                                 oops...

We went and roasted mallows last week at the GR. It was so good I even raised my s'more to the heavens and yelled, "YES!!!!!!!!" Luckily, the neighbors are far enough away they couldn't hear me and call the looney bin to come pick me up. Oh how I love s'mores.

and I love The Sandlot

past few weekends

The Green River fly fishing expedition was a success. I have seen pure joy on my husband's face quite a few times in our life together and this was another one of those times. I am a terrible fisherman but with the help of our guide, Colby, I landed one and had quite a few on the line. A did awesome and caught the 2nd largest fish in our group at 18 3/4 inches. Woot woot! The boys headed up to the Madison in MT right after we got off the river and the girls headed home. I don't think I could have done another day, I was totally wiped out. But they had fun there too, photos to come.

Then this past weekend my side of the family went down to AZ to watch my dad get married. Just in case you were wondering I am totally cool with it, at least this way I don't have to worry if he has anything more than expired condiments and take out boxes in his refrigerator. He married a lady he met online named Mary Ann who is very sweet and I think will be able to handle my dad.

We were in Chandler and it was deathly hot the first day but rained the morning of the ceremony so it cooled down a lot, thank heavens. I don't know if I could have done it if it hadn't cooled down. I was fine on the airplane and during all of the festivities so I call it a success. I was super tired (and cranky) on Sunday though and slept in until 10 am this morning. It was amazing and I feel so much better!

I'm going to make some funfetti cupcakes now because, well, I feel like it. Peace out.

you + me goin' fishin' in the dark

Quick update on the past few weeks...

2 top left photos and middle right: my younger brother, Aaron, had knee surgery to repair his torn ACL and meniscus. He had this same surgery in February. How did he tear it again you ask? Mountain biking 3 months after his first surgery. He is on permanent lock down of any physical activity for the next 5 years. He is staying with us for a while so he can recover and I can police his every move. He's doing great though, his doctor said that he is way ahead of schedule when it comes to recovery so that's fabulous news.
2 top right photos: Kipling recovering also. He fell into the pool at A's parent's house and sank like a rock. It was quite traumatic for him and he's spent the past few days sleeping off his PTSD. I need to get him a life jacket. The other photo is of my nephew Tyler who is now moved back from North Carolina and it is awesome! We had a finger painting session the other day and he created some masterpieces that Michelangelo would be proud of.
2 bottom left photos: Diane Lungo, my neighbor in Orem and adoptive auntie, is Italian and makes the best spaghetti dinners so we invited ourselves over one night and ate like kings. We are still in a food coma from that one.
2 bottom right photos: my craving from last week, french crullers, and K hanging out with his best bud Jaxx, Aaron's dog.

Now that we are caught up...

In a few hours A and I are going fishing on the Green. The last time I went fishing I was about 10 years old and had a pink Barbie fishing pole. Well, besides last year when I caught this sucker...

oh yeah, just a sailfish. no biggie.
(but I tend not to count that one as much because I had a lot of help)

Any who, we're going fishin' and it'll be awesome. A taught me how to cast with his new fly rod, I'm terrible but he's too nice to say so. He really needs this little trip since he's probably not going to Alaska this year with his dad and brothers, just bc we're going to have a baby and all.

Speaking of baby, she is getting large. I didn't know my body could stretch like this!
top: 33 weeks and 3 days as of today!
bottom: the only photos I got of the baby shower Whitney and her sweet sister and mother hosted for me last week.
It was fabulous and so much fun, trust me.

WARNING!!!!!!!
You might want to overt your gaze if you have issues with pregnant bellies. I normally won't post it because I generally have issues with pregnant ladies just throwing their large bellies out into the world wide web bc, let's be honest for a moment, most maternity photos are not attractive. (If you don't believe me just go here, and another disclaimer there are a pair of ta-tas that make an appearance towards the bottom of the page on that link. Just stop scrolling when you see the woman with the black shirt and gun, what did I tell you? weird.) But this is not a "maternity photo", this is just our first family photo with the babe and I thought it was cute. If you disagree I totally understand, at least I warned you.

next thing you know I'm going to be posting photos of me breastfeeding.
Just joking, I promise never to do that to you.

How far along?  33 weeks, day 3
Total weight gain: last doc appointment I had gained 17 lbs or something so probably up to 19 or so by now
Maternity clothes? yes and Andrew's basketball shorts
Stretch marks? not on my belly, yet
Sleep: between A's allergies and my heartburn? ha! help me Rhonda
Best moment this week: temple day with my sweetie, pool party, bbq and fireworks for the 4th of July, baby shower, spaghetti dinner at Diane's

Miss Anything? being cold
Movement: she had hiccups last week and it was so cute! some good kicks now and then, it's getting to be a tight squeeze for her in there.
Food cravings: this week: bananas and nutella, anything is fair game at this point
Anything making you queasy or sick: I did get really bad vertigo once this week, it was kind of scary but A was there and took care of me.
Gender: Girl, I made the doctor check again just to make sure we won't be surprised.

Labor Signs: None that I can tell yet
Symptoms: fatigue and heartburn still, will the madness ever end?!
Belly Button in or out? it's poking out a little bit more but still mostly flat
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy, but I'm so tired I can tell that's taking a toll on my emotions. This week at breakfast A and I were talking and I eventually muttered through my tears, "I'm just so tired."
Looking forward to: fishin' and floating in the river, doctor's appointment next week, sleeping tonight
