1 week old photos

A was the artistic director of the bottom right shot ^. You're eyes aren't mistaken you, that's a gun and a fishing rod. Please don't call Child Protective Services on us.
this is my best friend Whitney and her little cherub, Rees. Her sister, Courtney, was the photographer and did an amazing job if I do say so myself. Here's her website if anyone is looking for a photographer in Utah.

Oh little SiSi, you are so loved

life on a ranch

A and I have had some mighty fine adventures since we've moved to the ranch. He shot 2 rock chucks in the middle of lunch a few weeks ago and asked if I could cook them up for dinner...um, no. We were just having a lovely meal and next thing I know A is out the door with his new gun and I am watching a rock chuck die on the deck. Then he walks back in the house as if nothing has happened and finishes his food.

and I just had to throw this one in here, it's probably my favorite photo of him ever. sigh.

I also had to get in on the rock chuck killing action. Siena was asleep in her swing and I saw this guy just lounging on the deck so I followed A's example, picked up his gun and just shot it. To be honest I think that is the first living thing I have ever shot with a gun. After I did it I didn't know what to do with it because I wasn't about to touch it so I called A and he walked me through the disposal process. so gross.

Then one morning while I was nursing SiSi I looked out the window and watched as one of the horses galloped merrily down our driveway toward the road. So I put the girl in her swing (that blessed swing) and went to round up 4 horses in my pj's and slippers.

and then there is Kipling and his yak horn...

Sometimes I feel like my life too closely mirrors the Beverly Hillbillies or an episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (oh the horror).

We're already training for next years redneck olympics, YEE HAW!

introducing...

Siena Victoria Webb
born August 20, 2012
6 lbs 13 oz, 18.5 inches

So here's the birth story. Nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary. I went in for my weekly appointment with my doctor at 40 weeks and he asked me when I wanted to be induced and I said, "Today?" and he said, "Okay, I'll call the hospital and let them know you're coming. Go get a good meal first because once you go in they won't let you eat." I about died I was so excited! I was so sick of being pregnant and just wanted this girl here. So A and I went to Zupas and I got a huge lunch and went back to the hospital. I was started on pitocin around 1:00 pm and started pushing at 4:30ish and she popped right out at 7:09 pm.

Labor wasn't bad (thank goodness for epidurals!) but the delivery was a little hard. My doctor even said to me after, "Now that was a really tough delivery!" She got stuck in my pelvis for a long time and wouldn't rotate and then she decided to come out face up which apparently is harder to deliver. But she's here and that's all I care about.

Andrew did awesome and was my biggest cheerleader the entire time. He held my leg and my head for the entire 2 and a half hours while I pushed and gave me play by plays of every push. "That was a good one"..."I can see her hair"..."Come on sweetie, push harder! She's almost here!" He was a champ and I would have died without him there. Love you sweets!

Cheers to us!
Welcome to the world little one.

the final countdown

Remember this photo? from this post?
how could you forget right?

I totally did it.
it's a lot harder to do than I thought it would be. I don't float very well.

I went to the doctor yesterday and I am dilated to a 3. If the babe doesn't come by next Monday I will be induced! Woot woot! I am doing everything I can to get her to come naturally but I'll take an induction if I must. Let's hope she comes on her own before then though. At least there is an end in sight. Europe's The Final Countdown seems very appropriate not only for the inspired lyrics but also because of the amazing music video.

Does this remind anyone else of Gob from Arrested Development? Just wondering.

all about me

This post is all about me. A is doing awesome and working hard. He is currently driving home from seeing the new Bourne movie because I refuse to sit for 2 hours straight, even if it is for an awesome cinematic feature. But I kind of had a super fun few weeks so this post is about my adventures.

My Grandmother-in-law threw a shower for me 2 weeks ago where I received the quilt my MIL made for the babe. It's totally my favorite and I love it sooo much! We spent 2 hours at the fabric store picking out just the right shade of coral and turquoise and A chose the pattern, it looks perfect behind the crib if I do say so myself. The rest of the shower was great too, I've just got some pretty wonderful in-laws. Love you all!
Then the next weekend the Webb girls ventured to Sun Valley and spent the weekend relaxing and eating way too much. It was fabulous and we even got to see Johnny Weir ice skate. If you don't know who he is, he won a bronze medal in the 2010 Olympics but he is more well known for his flamboyant costumes and personality. You should totally YouTube him, you will not be disappointed. Then we spent the entire night reenacting his performance to Christina Aguilera's "Fighter", it was by far my favorite night.

I am currently having contractions and they are so super fun. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said that I could go at any day now or just plug along to my due date, let's pray that I go sooner.

Total weight gain: 24 lbs
Maternity clothes? I try not to wear clothes these days, but yes, all maternity clothes

Best moment this week: when the doctor told me I was dilated to a 2 and could go any day

Miss Anything? my sanity, just joking, kind of...
Movement: she dropped a lot so there is more pressure on my bladder and I can feel every little movement she does down there
Food cravings: funfetti cupcakes, I've eaten 3 today
Anything making you queasy or sick: K has an open wound on the back of his leg that I looked at today and that made me almost lose my lunch
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: lots of cramping and a few stronger contractions this week but nothing consistent
Symptoms: nesting! totally nesting these last few days, the house is tidy, laundry is done, dishes are clean, I'm ready!
Belly Button in or out? out and starting to poke through my shirts. not cute.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: mostly happy and anxious for her to make her appearance
Looking forward to: the birth of this little babe, hopefully next time you hear from me I will be minus such a large belly and plus a beautiful little girl.

36 weeks day 3

So close to the end I can almost taste it!

How far along?  36 weeks, day 4
Total weight gain: 21.5 lbs
Maternity clothes? some, mostly just skirts and dresses. so much more comfortable in this heat
Stretch marks? no and let's keep it that way
Sleep: I had my doctor prescribe some heartburn meds for me and last night I slept the ENTIRE night with no heartburn!!! It was a Christmas miracle!
Best moment this week: watching A give his first training

Miss Anything? not having to grunt whenever I move. let me get into my car..."ugh!" getting out of bed in the morning..."humph!" it's cute, real cute.
Movement: lots of feet, elbows, and hands pushing against my belly, she needs more room!
Food cravings: oreos with chocolate filling and s'mores (see previous post)
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope, just the thought of being responsible for another human life for 18 years. am I old/mature/sane enough to do this?! *deep breath*
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: I had one little tiny contraction after cleaning the house last week. well, I'm pretty sure it was a contraction. could have just been gas :)
Symptoms: fatigue and the urge to watch smut tv shows on hulu
Belly Button in or out? out
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy but my patience level is not something to test
Looking forward to: Sun Valley next week, baby shower on Monday and just getting ready for this girl to come

there were a few choice words said while setting this baby up but A plowed through it and I am so grateful! The crib is a Graco and the bumper, sheet and skirt are from Pottery Barn. The pink quilt was given to me by my Aunt Valerie (love you!) and was made by my great grandmother on my mom's side. It's all hand stitched and my favorite part of the whole thing! I'm going to have it embroidered with the babe's name and birthday after she's born.

She's coming so soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are kind of freaking out, but in a good way.

yer killin' me Smalls

Yesterday I imported some photos from A's phone to my computer and ran across these...

I can't believe I'm saying this but I truly, madly, deeply miss the Cleve (aka Captain Tony's) right now.
I'm going to open a Captain Tony's in Utah, it's settled.

Next on the agenda:
Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!
He hates it when he get attention for his bday but I just can't help it. It was last Friday and what did we do for his bday? He did his first training for his company in the morning and it went so well, I am such a proud wife, and then we went home and did nothing. Seriously, we did absolutely nothing for 2 days and it was marvelous! We sat around and watched tv, ate out, took naps, absolutely marvelous I tell you! Happy birthday my love, kiss your face!

Here are some straggler photos from our Green River and Montana fishing trips from A's phone.

The Madison in Montana

this one is from the Green and it just makes me laugh
                                 smile!                                                                                 oops...

We went and roasted mallows last week at the GR. It was so good I even raised my s'more to the heavens and yelled, "YES!!!!!!!!" Luckily, the neighbors are far enough away they couldn't hear me and call the looney bin to come pick me up. Oh how I love s'mores.

and I love The Sandlot
