So here's the birth story. Nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary. I went in for my weekly appointment with my doctor at 40 weeks and he asked me when I wanted to be induced and I said, "Today?" and he said, "Okay, I'll call the hospital and let them know you're coming. Go get a good meal first because once you go in they won't let you eat." I about died I was so excited! I was so sick of being pregnant and just wanted this girl here. So A and I went to Zupas and I got a huge lunch and went back to the hospital. I was started on pitocin around 1:00 pm and started pushing at 4:30ish and she popped right out at 7:09 pm.
Labor wasn't bad (thank goodness for epidurals!) but the delivery was a little hard. My doctor even said to me after, "Now that was a really tough delivery!" She got stuck in my pelvis for a long time and wouldn't rotate and then she decided to come out face up which apparently is harder to deliver. But she's here and that's all I care about.
Andrew did awesome and was my biggest cheerleader the entire time. He held my leg and my head for the entire 2 and a half hours while I pushed and gave me play by plays of every push. "That was a good one"..."I can see her hair"..."Come on sweetie, push harder! She's almost here!" He was a champ and I would have died without him there. Love you sweets!
Cheers to us!
Welcome to the world little one.
