connected

WE FINALLY HAVE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!

As of 15 minutes ago we are once again plugged into the matrix. Thank you Digis, I love you.

Lots has gone on lately in our world and in the world so I'm so glad to be typing this from my laptop rather than from the screen of my mobile phone. It's so hard to read articles on such a tiny screen. I'm still okay not having cable though.

June bug

I love June. It seems like everyone breathes a sigh of relief with the end of May. June to me is the start of summer, snowies, pools open, it's not too hot yet, bbqs, horseback riding (I tried it and it most likely will not be happening again until after this baby is out of my body), rodeos are starting, flowers are blooming and the mountains and pastures are still green and gorgeous. Love love love June.

a day in the life of Sir Kipling, oh how I love my furry, naughty, handsome baby

I got a new car and I LOVE it! I took all the nieces and nephews in it one day to get
ice cream and we blasted Lion King with the windows down. June is summer I tell ya!
Photos on the right are week 29 (top) and week 30 (bottom)

one evening K and I went outside to go hang out on the lawn for a bit but we were greeted by a big bull yak who would run both of us over in a heartbeat if given a chance. So I quickly shuffled K back inside and got a 4 wheeler to push him back into his space with the herd.
Adventures in yakville, I'll tell you what.
Anyone want 13 yak? Please...

yesterday was our 4th anniversary so we celebrated by going up to the GR and A worked on the trees while K and I relaxed. Super exciting, I know. But it needed to be done and we finished the day off by carving our initials into a tree and going to get pizza in Kamas. My kind of anniversary.
Love you sweetie!

Tomorrow is the start of my Howerton family (mom's side) reunion @ the Homestead. Good luck to all of you running in the Wasatch Back this weekend, we'll be cheering for you!
and also a big good luck to my love tomorrow, his company is doing their first training since we've moved back and he has worked so hard to make it happen. I'm praying for you!

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy, I have noticed an increase in crazy mood swings though. I'll cry for no reason and then laugh at myself for being so moody. I feel like a hormonal teen.

it's JUNE!

life here is good. Pretty much the same old. Well, my dad is getting married and bought a new house in Mapleton. That's new as of two weeks ago. They are getting married on July 13th, in Phoenix, when it is around 120 degrees in the shade and I will be 8 months pregnant. Oh joy. The lady that he is marrying, Maryann, loves bling. You know like rhinestones and bejeweled stuff. I'll let your imagination take you on that one. From the one time I met her she was very nice though so that's good.

My older brother and his family are semi moved back to Utah from North Carolina. That makes me really happy! I've missed being around family so much and now I've got everyone within an hour of me! I LOVE it!

A is working like a mad man and it's been so good. He is happy and stimulated which is more than what most people get so we are so grateful. The Heber-SLC commute is miserable but hopefully it will only be for a few more months. I am so grateful for his hard work and still finding time to make me feel like a million bucks. You can do it sweetie!!!

Our internet here at the ranch is sooo slow but that's the price I have to pay for living in the sticks. We don't have cable either but I haven't even minded that one bit. Kipling and I take lots of walks and go hang out with the horses, so much better than the boob tube. I feel so disconnected from everyone though, I missed A's brother's high school graduation yesterday because well, I just didn't know about it. Hello? Anyone there? Remember me? It's Krystal, you know, I'm part of your family!!! Hello??? I love the ranch but I can't wait to buy a house in SLC, oh that day will be joyous! Until then I am keeping myself busy as can be, there always seems to be something that needs to be done.

top: A learning roping tricks, Memorial Day at my mom's grave with my brother
bottom: Kipling in Paul's pond at the GR, gorgeous Timp, sunset after a fun evening at the GR

expectant mother parking...yes please! and the bump

How far along? 28 weeks, day 3
Total weight gain: I still don't know, I haven't weighed myself in over a month. I'm sure I lost a few pounds because of the flu but I have no doubt that I will quickly put them back on. I go to the doctor next week so we'll see for sure then.
Maternity clothes? I need them desperately as you can probably tell. My clothes are begging for mercy.
Stretch marks? no more thank heavens, just one or two.
Sleep: not very well, I'm constantly tossing and turning and having the craziest dreams. I'm guessing that's normal.
Best moment this week: Memorial day celebration with A's family on Sunday, James winning the  4A state championship in soccer and being voted offensive MVP (you know that's right!), talking to my brother as his family is waiting in the Baltimore airport to fly to UT!!!

Miss Anything? horseback riding, being nimble and able to walk more than 10 steps without getting winded.
Movement: she is getting mighty powerful in there! I've had a few kicks to the ribs that have made me jump a bit.
Food cravings: pasta and fruit, I would kill for some really great watermelon right now. and Del Taco's chicken soft tacos, you say "gross" and I say "give me 18".
Anything making you queasy or sick: everything still gives me major heartburn. Which I read that if you get bad heartburn your baby will come out with a lot of hair. Let's be honest, my baby is going to be bald until she is 2. She's got no chance at having a lot of hair so heartburn you can go away now. Thanks.
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I have to take a potty break all the time, TMI, I know, but that's new and exciting. I feel like a beached whale. I tried finding a funny photo of "beached whale" but they are all just depressing because well, it's a dead whale. sad.
Belly Button in or out? it's out
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: this week has been a happy week minus the tired moments when I can't even put a coherent sentence together.
Looking forward to: swimming lessons with the nieces and nephews on Monday, seeing my brother and his family, Kipling calming down now that his testes are gone, A getting to help bless his friend's baby on Sunday, mercy it's going to be a good week!

May is OVER!!! Here comes JUNE!!! Whoo hoo!!!

the invalids

sick...sick...sick.

That's what I have been for the past week. sick. Not just sick but I'm pretty sure it was the flu. And because I am prego I can't take any form of medication other than extra strength Tylenol and Tums. I hate Tums so much. Just when it was getting really bad A and his dad gave me a blessing and things started to look up. I wasn't miraculously healed right then and there but things got a whole lot better. Thank heavens for those two and their priesthood, that's all I can say. And I am happy to report that I am on the upswing. Hopefully just a day of taking it easy and I'll be back to normal.

In other terrible, awful news...Kipling has also been recovering. He got neutered and had eye surgery. I surprisingly have quite a few shots of his "kiwis" but I thought that might be inappropriate.

so here's a shot of two actual kiwis and you can let your imagination do the rest
You'll never look at a whole kiwi the same way.

We were planning on studding the sweet guy out but with this genetic eye condition he has we would rather not pass on those genes to other bulldogs. I'm still a little bummed because we could have made a lot of money but that's responsible breeding. Ho hum.

A's youngest brother James has done the amazing! A HUGE congrats needs to go to him and the Olympus High soccer team for their semi final win yesterday against Mountain View (my high school's big rival). James scored the winning (and only) goal and they are going to STATE!!! Thursday is the big game and I am so glad I am feeling better so I can go. This is awesome! CONGRATS JEEMS!!! Here's the Deseret News article on the big win.

To explain a little more how big of a deal this is to the Webb fam here's an email A sent to his family about James.
"It took six kids but we finally got to an athlete!!!!! James did it for all of us and our missed goals, 10 minute miles, triple bogeys, and purple diving speedos."

Need I remind anyone of the time A showed up to his middle school soccer team try-outs in cleats and had to run the mile in them. 4 laps around the track, clicking (and probably wincing) as he went. He was the laughing stock of Providence Middle School for quite some time. We still haven't lived that one down.

Good job Jeems! We are so proud of you!
TAKE STATE OLY!

25 weeks

the babe is the size of an eggplant

How far along? 25 1/2 Weeks
Total weight gain: I don't really know, our scale is in a box somewhere in the barn. probably 12-15 lbs but feels like 100.
Maternity clothes? not yet, I'm trying to get away with whatever I already own with stretchy waist bands.
Stretch marks? yep, just a few but :(
Sleep: yes please, I go to bed around 9 pm and wake up at 6:30 am but I sleep well during that time.
Best moment this week: moving to Utah, settling in at the ranch and seeing all the friends and family we've missed so much!

Miss Anything? having energy, fitting into my clothes, sushi
Movement: Lots of little jabs, just letting mommy know she's doing good in there.
Food cravings: donuts, fruit, salad, ice cream, honey, a.k.a. everything
Anything making you queasy or sick: everything gives me major heartburn, bring on the tums!
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Everyone said that my hair/nails/skin were supposed to get long and thick and "glow" but pregnancy has the exact opposite effect on me. Stringy dull hair that sheds like crazy, my nails are slightly weaker and my skin...oy vey, I should be a "before" shot on the Proactive commercials. Pregnancy does not become me. (and yes, I am taking prenatals everyday.)
Belly Button in or out? I just checked, still in barely.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm having an emotional week so about half and half
Looking forward to: Mother's Day with the Webb's and skyping with John in Italy

I told A that "this is my jam right now" on our drive west and he laughed at me but it's my "go to" song at the moment

and I'm reading this, it's sweet

so happy right now

Lots has happened in a month. A survived finals and graduated. That is the biggest and most important news. He worked his hiney off these past two years and I am so proud of him. He now is referred to as "Master Andrew" in our home. There are no photos of the actual graduation ceremony because well, we picked up and moved to Utah about 3 weeks before the ceremony would actually happen. He would much rather be in his cowboy gear than in a cap and gown anyways. Our last days in the Cleve were spent packing and eating at our favorite locals. We are seriously going to miss the food.

top: me and K taking a sick day, K's last walk in the Cleve, empty apartment getting ready to leave!
bottom: only a few of the boxes, K being super naughty but so comfy, the last supper @ DiBella's

The drive was okay. This was our 4th drive across the country in 2 years, I'm so over Nebraska. You hear that Nebraska? Over you. Kipling hated the drive (and also Nebraska) and would sleep in the downward dog position most of the time. Poor guy, he hates car rides. But he exacted his revenge by making us stay in quite possibly the creepiest, most run down, motel in Keokuk, Iowa because no one else took dogs. There may or may not have been blood on the side of my mattress.

top: K trying not to die in the back seat, the Bate's Motel of Keokuk
bottom: Nauvoo temple, Twix bars and bottled water=our nutrition for 3 days

But we did stop in Nauvoo for a day and it was fabulous and broke up the mundane drive a little bit. We listened to Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter on the way out and it was actually very entertaining. (honestly, I think the movie will probably be better than the book so I'm excited about that)

Now we are happily snuggled into life at the ranch. Waking up to the mountains every morning is magical. We are so grateful A's parents are letting us crash here for a little bit. It is the perfect way to get acclimated back into life in the west. A is back in his element, Kipling has never been happier and I am beyond grateful with my life right now. Plus we got to go to the last Jazz game of the season, what more could we ask for?

top: Jazz game, more Jazz game, me trying to take my mid day cat nap
middle: K taking his mid day cat nap on the deck
bottom: the Cisco kid, my handsome boys, the view I wake up to every morning...seriously

blessed

nice day for a white wedding

I feel like I suddenly popped out this week! big mama coming through!

How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain: 9-10 lbs.
Maternity clothes? no, but I did bust out the belly band yesterday. I'm on the fence about it.
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: my heartburn is under control thanks to Tums right before bedtime.
Best moment this week: being in Utah for my dear Sarah Emily's wedding, it was fantastic. And then coming home to my sweetie, I missed him so much!

Miss Anything? sliced turkey sandwiches, it is so hard to resist Jimmy John's and Di Bella's!
Movement: I was poking my belly 2 nights ago and the babe totally karate kicked me. I was freaking out, it was so awesome. She's a strong one.
Food cravings: Ice cream all the time, I could totally go for Coldstone right now. Lots of fruit too and french fries.
Anything making you queasy or sick: the airplane ride home from Utah. I thought I was going to lose it. I never get motion sick but the turbulence plus the sweaty man sitting next to me weren't my friends.
Gender: Girl still :)

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I had cramps last night and that wasn't fun but a nice hot bath and some hot chocolate soothed them.
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: mostly happy, some moodiness this past weekend but I think I would have been moody if I was pregnant or not. Family drama, oh gracious.
Looking forward to: A graduating next week and us moving back to Utah in 2 weeks (can you believe it???)

SNOW! @ Millcreek Inn
D Murph and me at the temple
These are the two photos that I took of Sarah's wedding. It rained the entire time at the temple and then snowed at the reception. Utah weather is nuts in April, let's be frank. But the ceremony was really sweet and I somehow managed not to bawl through the entire thing. Then Danielle and I raced up to the reception site and made the center pieces for the dinner and if I do say so myself it was absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous...Sarah looked stunning and of course, because I suck at taking pictures, I didn't get one photo of her. But I did video the cake cutting, don't mind the shakiness or the bad iPhone video quality por favor.

Congrats to Stephen and Sarah! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day. LOVE YOU!!!
